FAQ's

Q-"So how did you get into photography?"

A-   A few years ago, I was really feeling a deep need to find an outlet for self expression, to meet more people. Since I was young, one of my favorite things to do was to sit and just sift through family pictures. I could stare at the same photo for half an hour just taking in all of the details. I fell in love with the idea of creating images that other people could come back to over and over. Images that would become a part of their family story. I had never really even picked up a camera at that point so I decided to do some online research. I studied out technique and equipment for 6 months before pulling the trigger on my first gear purchase. I’ve been through several upgrades since then (over 10 years ago now) but my heart is still in the same place, only more full the more members of my community I’ve met and made memories with and for.

Q- "How do you have time to run a business as a mom?"

A- It recharges me!  My love for business is almost as strong as it is for photography.  I love brainstorming, dreaming, planning, organizing, problem solving, marketing, taxes...oh wait, um no.  I hire that out.  But the rest is all true.

Q- “What sets you apart?”

 A-

Style

I love bright, colorful, soulful pictures.  I help people forget the camera so that when you see one of my images, you see them.  Like the way your little boy wrinkles his nose just a little bit when he really smiles, or the way your heart melts when you touch your newborn baby's skin. Like the mischief in your fiance's eyes when he is trying to decide whether to kiss you or tickle you.  I take those fleeting things and make them stay forever.

Service
One of the things I love best is the little extras.  Burying a USB drive full of pictures in purple Hershey's kisses because the bride loves chocolate and purple is her wedding color.  Dropping some Butterfingers in the mail because the cutest little pregnant lady was saying she was craving them like crazy.  Notice the chocolate theme here? Me too.  Just the little things.  I also feel strongly about meeting and beating expectations.  You can expect to receive your pictures on time...because that means I get to procrastinate doing the laundry.  And because it's important. My goal is basically to be the Disneyland of the photography world.  Creating an experience, paying attention to the details, going the extra mile, and keeping it fun. If this sounds like what you're looking for, let's get in touch.
